Gloved and Ready

Earlier this week our neighbor blessed us with these:

Gardening gloves.

For kids. 

Which means they fit their hands.  And make them somehow feel like they’re helping.  At something.

They also don’t want to take them off because…

Apparently they’re good for reading. 

And sorting towels.

And tire swinging.

They make riding in the van more comfortable.

And protect against hamburger.

They even make an ordinary hike extraordinary.

Only yesterday I nodded my confirmation at a pair of dirty gloves. “This means,” my son said, “that I’ve been working.”
