The Whole Story

My son burst into the hallway with half of the story.

“She pinched my bottom,” he bawled. “Really hard.”

My daughter stumbled from her brother’s bedroom to straighten the story.

“That’s because he was shaking it in my face,” she said.

“Is that true,” I asked him. “Did you put your behind in her face?”

There was a moment’s pause. At which time the crying ceased and the lip stopped shaking.

And then he answered, “not all of my bottom.”
