A Confession

Sometimes mommies cry.

On the inside.

Deep tears that no one sees.

Tears that crest at our eyelids, perhaps, but never drip.

Tears that carve chasms.

Sometimes mommies need a new filter on life.

A new lens that isn’t smudged with set-back and struggle.

A believable perspective that comes alongside, like a grandmotherly arm around our shoulder, and reminds with a whisper, “this too shall pass.”

In a day.

In a year.

But until that day, that year, that time, pray for us mommies who cannot see beyond the present, beyond the disappointments of  today to hope and light and love.

May you feel a touch from God today. He knows how you feel and wants you know how much he loves His girl. Aren’t we glad that His mercies are new every morning.

I am sending you many hugs!
